My Favorite Dulcimer

My Favorite Dulcimer Brand New
One of the questions that I am asked fairly frequently is which of my many dulcimers is my favorite. The answer to that question is my Spruce-Cherry Custom McSpadden. In 2009 when I was 11-years-old I had finally saved up enough money to buy a new dulcimer (the first time that had ever happend)! I knew that I wanted a 1 1/2 and 8 1/2 fret on the dulcimer and that I wanted it to be a McSpadden Dulcimer. But other than that I really didn't know what I wanted. So emailed Jeff Hames to talk to him about possibly ordering a dulcimer through him. I also asked him for some advice about what kind of dulcimer to get. After few emails back and forth my dulcimer was ordered. It worked out very well because I was going to be seeing Jeff Hames at the The Swannanoa Gathering just a few weeks from when I ordered the dulcimer. So he would be able to deliver it to me there.Everything went as planned and it turned out that the dulcimer was perfect!
One of the Pictures from my CD "Playing in the Creek"
My whole CD "Playing in the Creek" was recorded with the my Spruce-Cherry Dulcimer. It was also the dulcimer I used to win both the Georgia State and The Southern Regional Mountain Dulcimer Championships with. Along with being by far the main dulcimer I have performed with for the past few years.
