Pickin' Porch on August 25th

I am going to be teaching and performing on the Pickin' Porch at Wood-N-Strings Dulcimer Shop in Townsend, Tennessee on August 25th. I will be teaching classes during the day and then doing a concert on the Pickin' Porch at 7:00.

The class fee is $10 each or $25 for all three classes. Below are details about the schedule and the classes I will be teaching:

10:00-11:00  Banjammer  (All Levels) 

 In this class we are going to be looking at some ways to utilize a Banjammer (banjo/dulcimer), looking at specific technique for the right and left hand. So if you have a banjo/dulcimer and are looking for some ways you can use it or if you are thinking about buying a Banjammer and would like to see what it can do, this should be a helpful class. Banjammer not required.

1:00-2:00 Think Outside the Tab  (Intermediate)

In this class we are going to explore some of the advantages to learning and playing without tablature. I am going to teach you without tab how to play one of my favorite songs Reuben’s Train. Capo Required.

2:15-3:15 Get Rhythm  (Nov-Int)

 In this class we are going to focus on using the right hand. I will teach you some different rhythms that you can use. We are going to look at just how much the rhythm that you play can affect the song.
