Winfield Experience

One of the biggest events of the year for me is coming up in a couple of weeks. The Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, which is a huge bluegrass music festival that usually draws about 40,000 people. The festival has great jamming and shows on four stages all day long and is home to the national championship of many instruments, including the dulcimer.

The main reason Dad and I are going for me to compete in the dulcimer championship, but I am also looking forward to experiencing the sights and sounds of Winfield just as much as the competition! Last year we didn't get to camp on the grounds, which is a big part of the experience of Winfield, but this year we are camping, and that will give us a great chance to get to know the festival a lot better.

I Cant wait!
