East Tennessee Dulcimer

East Tennessee seems like one of the most popular places for the dulcimer, and last weekend I got to teach and take part in two East Tennessee dulcimer institutions.

First I got to do one of my favorite dulcimer events of the year, teaching and performing on the Pickin' Porch. One of my favorite parts about doing that is being able to visit with Mike Clemmer and all of the rest of the people at Wood' N' Strings Dulcimer Shop. I also always really enjoy trying a few of the instruments in the shop. And all of my classes seemed to go really well too.

And on Sunday I taught the advanced class at the Knoxville Area Dulcimer Club, which also seemed to go pretty well. And after the class I stayed and participated in the club jam.....It is a HUGE dulcimer club with players at all levels actively involved an it was fun to be part of their meeting! Thank you to the Knoxville Area Dulcimer Club for giving me the opportunity.
